What did our client need?
The Etnopolis client needed a solution that would create science-friendly conditions to deepen knowledge about the life of bees and their everyday life. They wanted to develop an innovative, interactive and modern game app that would be user-friendly for all ages.
We have created a mobile game app. The Interactive Bee Simulator is a simulation of one day in the life of bees and is designed to be both educational and engaging. The app is suitable for a wide range of users, including younger children and more experienced players who want to learn about the ecosystem, life and work of bees.
To ensure the game is user-friendly, we developed an innovative and interactive game design, which provides a first-person perspective of the everyday life of bees, making the game more interesting and addictive. The Interactive Bee Simulator takes about 5 minutes to complete, providing a full gaming experience that also imparts a dose of knowledge about bees.
What does the game contain?
The game consists of 5 modules; departure from the hive, collecting pollen, pollination, collecting nectar, returning to the hive.
The game assumes a platform version of the passage, where the players explore the environment, collect pollen for which they receive nectar, thanks to which they can return to the hive.
The right amount of collected nectar and pollen allows the player to return to the hive.
The game requires you to deliver pollen from plant to plant in order to obtain nectar.
The game also assumes a summary after returning to the hive. It has the character of replenishing the nectar supply in the hive.
The game consists of up to 3 hive outlets to completely fill the hive's nectar tank.
In the environment, you can find obstacles to avoid (e.g. trees, shrubs, hills) and predators (e.g. birds, hornets).
What tools did we use?
At BrainForge, we utilized cutting-edge tools and technologies to create an education game with an engaging game design. Specifically, we employed:
- powerful Unity game engine
- industry-leading 3D modeling software, Blender.
With Unity, we were able to create immersive and interactive experiences for our users, while Blender allowed us to design high-quality 3D objects and environments that are visually appealing and realistic.
Furthermore, we developed the Simulator in the APK (Android Package) format, which is optimized for Android devices.
What was the final result?
The final result of our project was the fully developed Interactive Bee Simulator mobile game, available in multiple languages and requiring no login or account creation. The game offers an immersive experience that allows users to acquire or supplement their knowledge about the life and work of bees in an engaging and interactive way. Throughout the game, players receive short, substantive notes about the tasks they need to perform and the context behind them, enhancing their understanding and engagement.
We also provided the client with the option to expand the game in the future, allowing for further development and customization to meet their evolving needs. The game was optimized for the updated Android operating system, ensuring compatibility with the latest devices and technologies.
